Westell Modem Nat Router Combo: Must be run in bridged mode with a seperate router, currently there are no decent work arounds; nor is there any decent support for most of the Westell Modems. I do not support this modem as a stand alone device at this time. I highly reccomend bridging it with a Linksys or Netgear Router for maximum networking potential.

This is useful when using the Westell Modem as a stand alone unit or with a network hub.

  1. Using a web browser navigate to 192.168.1.1 or the numerical address assigned to the Westell modem/router by You or the ISP that gave you the equipment.

  2. Add VNC services, it should automatically add the correct ports for VNC, specifically 5500, 5800, and 5900

  3. Click on Advanced Configuration and add Static NAT, then put in the local IP of the Computer to receive the VNC services. Example: 192.168.1.100(your IP may be different).
